Paris Jackson claims her late dad Michael Jackson was murdered by his doctor

18 year old Paris in a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, said she believes Dr. Conrad Murray,who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter after her dad's death in 2009, actually murdered him after providing him with a drug he became dependent on.

"My dad would drop hints about people being out to get him. And at some point he was like, ‘They’re gonna kill me one day. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bulls--t, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bulls--t.”

“It’s a chess game,” Paris explained. “And I am trying to play the chess game the right way. And that’s all I can say about that right now.”

Kidnapped students, staff of Turkish School regain freedom after 11 days in captivity

The kidnapped staff and students of the Nigerian Turkish International School, Ogun State, have regained their freedom, Channels Telvision reports.

They were released on Tuesday evening, January 24th. One of the parents told Channels Television that ransom worth millions was paid through a negotiator and the gunmen gave the assurance that the victims would be released.

85 year old mother of 6 commits suicide in Kano

An 85 year old mother of six identified as Salamatu Hassan, committed suicide close to her home in Jar-Kuka village in Gezawa Local Government area of Kano state, yesterday Sunday January 8th.

Salamatu who is said to be suffering from mental illness, was found dangling from a tree in the village. Her grandson, Muhammed Ibrahim, told newsmen that his grandmother had been missing for two days. He said his family found out she had committed suicide this morning.

A 24-year old driver accused of stealing his boss' car, TVs and a pet dog,  has confessed that Christmas needs of his siblings pushed him into the stealing.

The suspect, Abass Ope, from Ogun State was arrested at Ojuelegba area of Lagos by the Decoy Team of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the State Police Command, on last year Boxing Day.

He was picked up by the Police while trying to sell off his ex-boss’s Toyota Avensis 2013 model with the registration number AGL 734 AR for N2 million. Arrested along with him were three of his friends: Balogun Oluwaseun (23); Sanni Azeez (23) and Stephen Ewiele (22).

Abass had during  Christmas period stormed his boss Magodo home while he and his family were holidaying in Delta State, with a conspirator to move a 100 inches LCD TV, another 42 inches LCD TV, a dog, a suitcase, 2 DSTV decoders and a Toyota Avensis, from the home.

It was learnt that the suspect invaded the home of his ex-boss after learning that he had travelled to Delta State for the Christmas holiday, and that the gatekeeper had also gone to church. A source said that the suspect was aware of where his boss usually kept keys to his rooms which made it easy for him to commit the crime.

Court denies IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu bail, says his case is sensitive to National security

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court Abuja has denied leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, bail. While delivering judgment on his application today, Justice Nyako said offences committed by Kanu and his supporters are not entirely bailable. She said the charge of treasonable felony, which Kanu and his supporters have been charged with attracts a life sentence and that their case was sensitive to National security.

Kanu was arrested on October 14th 2015 and has been in the custody of the Federal government since then

A 29-year-old notorious internet fraudster, who specialized in impersonating the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, on the internet, has been arrested by the police for defrauding a Saudi Arabia-based medical doctor, Hassan Alkahallaf of the sum of $10,000.



The suspect, Ekperebuike Akadonye from Imo State contacted his victim, via an email address igofnieria@outlook.com purportedly belonging to the IGP, claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari, in his fight against corruption, had directed the IGP to make a refund to victims who had been defrauded by Nigerians in the past.

Recession: Profesionals are not being allowed to give direction of the economy- CBN chief says

Director of Policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Moses Tule, has said that the apex bank is addressing the current economic recession using wrong tools. Tule said this when he spoke at the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, CIBN, roundtable meeting organised on the current economic recession in Abuja on Tuesday November 29th. According to Tule, professionals are not being allowed to give direction to the economy.
