Suspected assassins have killed a 70 year old woman identified as Betsy Egbeobamwonyi, who was found with a slit throat and many stab wounds at her one room apartment at Oseye Street, off Upper Sokponba Road, Benin city Edo state this morning June 22nd.
According to The Nation, the suspected assassins left the woman in the pool of her blood after they committed the crime.

“We don’t know who killed our mother. We don’t know who she offended. She is the landlady of the house. The day before she was killed, I bought things for her only to be told that she was killed the next day,” she said
